The Super Bowl is supposedly the single largest human trafficking incident in the United States.

Did you know that slavery still exists?  We’ve all heard stories about it surviving in other parts of the world, but it’s a lot worse that many us think.

I know I was surprised when I saw this site.  Not slavery as I thought about it.  Wrong.  It is.  There are people who take advantage of people who need money, and then force them to work for them for the rest of their life.  It’s free labor, and it’s slavery.  I’m still shocked when I think about it.

And it’s not just free labor.  This includes sex trafficking too.  It’s horrible.

Did you know…

  • There are 27 million slaves worldwide?  Ask Cleo, that’s more than any point in human history.  Personally, I thought slavery was on the decline, not the rise.
  • Over 17,000 are trafficked into the U.S. each year, at an average age of 14?  Isn’t this why we fought the civil war over a century ago?
  • That on average a slave costs $90?  You could spend more on tickets to a baseball game!  A person’s life is bought for a mere $90!  That’s just shameful.  On the other hand, slave trade industry makes about $32 billion per year.

And that’s why Hallway 100 has decided to support the “In it to End it” movement.  This is a serious problem, and all you have to do to help is spread the word!

Put a red X on your hand, and spread the word about slavery and human trafficking.  By merely putting this symbol on the back of your right hand, you’ll be making a great leap in spreading awareness.  People will ask you, “why do you have an X on your hand?”  And that’s when you tell them the facts!  Refer them to enditmovement.com.
