If you do the challenge, you better do it right.  #hallway100

All jokes aside, the ALS ice bucket challenge is a great way to raise awareness of a disease that does not get much publicity.  There is still no cure, and if there’s any disease that needs one, it’s ALS.  Some people have criticized the challenge, saying that it does nothing.  In some ways, they are right.  Pouring a bucket of ice on your head does nothing directly.  BUT, it has risen awareness for the disease.  It’s spread through Facebook like wildfire (thank you GRRM), and it’s hard to be on that social media site without knowing what ALS is now.  Kudos to everyone that has donated or participated.  For more info on the challenge, follow this link. ( Yes, it’s Wikipedia. Sue me 😛 )
