Perhaps Josef went a little overboard with the cyanide pills, but at least he did it out of mercy. Because who would want to go through that? Or he could have just lightened the load, but we’re not here to analyze.
I always felt bad for students taking summer classes in high school. It isn’t college. It’s not going to “lighten” the load during the year. High school is a time to enjoy summer, or make lots of moolah through working a summer job, or maybe both! Summer school is just plain rough, though hopefully not as rough as Josef’s science class.
