PSA: Did you know that back pain can be caused by tight hamstrings. This is because hamstrings attach to your pelvis, and when tight, force your back into a slump. Therefore people with severely tight hamstrings cannot assume good posture while sitting, no matter how hard they try. This is why it’s important to stretch our hamstrings, especially when we’re going through puberty (our bones grow, but our poor muscles tighten up). If you’re having growth spurts, stretch, stretch, stretch those hamstrings. Your back will thank you ten years later. 🙂
